The Thirst Project
Since 2014, Key Club International has been partnering with the Thirst Project to bring awareness to the water crisis in our world. In March, Key Club members fill up a water bottle with dirty water and carry the bottle around all month. When people ask why, Key Club members share that 748 Million people on our planet do not have access to safe, clean drinking water. By educating young people, such as Key Clubbers, the word gets out about the clean water cause & how to build real water projects all over the world.

UNICEF
UNICEF is an organization that helps every single child build a world where they are the main focus of life. They have the global authority to influence decision-makers, and the variety of partners at grassroots level to turn the most innovative ideas into reality. That makes them unique among world organizations, and unique among those working with the young. UNICEF believes that nurturing and caring for children are the cornerstones of human progress. This organization was created with this purpose in mind – to work with others to overcome the obstacles that poverty, violence, disease and discrimination place in a child's path. UNICEF advocates for measures to give children the best start in life, because proper care at the youngest age forms the strongest foundation for a person's future. They also act so that all children are immunized against common childhood diseases, and are well nourished, because it is wrong for a child to suffer or die from a preventable illness.

March of Dimes
The March of Dimes's mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, and low birth weight.

The ELIMINATE Project
$1.80. What can you get for that price every day? You can get a cup of coffee on the way to school, a pack of gum, or a sandwich from a restaurant when you are hungry. For 61 million mothers and their future children, $1.80 means life. Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to get rid of Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus from the planet. Maternal and neonatal tetanus (or MNT) threatens the lives of newborns and mothers every day in 34 countries.
Every nine minutes a newborn dies. We know that life is precious-- so what is the goal for Kiwanis International and UNICEF? By 2015, these organizations will raise $110 million to ELIMINATE this deadly disease from this planet. With that money, more than 61 million mothers and their future children will have the vaccination for tetanus! Just like past Key Club International Trustee and Circle K Governor Avanti Kollaram said, "We are the Game Changers!" If we work together as a Kiwanis Family we will Eliminate this disease from this planet just like we came together to eliminate Iodine Deficiency Disorder!

- Trick or Treat for UNICEF! - It's coming! The annual Trick or Treating for UNICEF is just around the corner! During the month of October, participate in this project that has existed for decades! Have fun too! You can even dress up!
- Walk-a-Thon - In your community hold a walk-a-thon benefiting the Eliminate Project. You can have several booths set up and even a local band, if you want! You can also have the members of your local Kiwanis and Builders Club help out! This is a great way to both promote the Eliminate Project in your community and spend time with the other branches of the Kiwanis Family.
- Yard Sale- A yard sale is a great way to bring all of the branches of the Kiwanis Family together to ELIMINATE the world of MNT! Just have each member bring a few donations, and have all the proceeds go to the Eliminate Project!
- Bake Sale - Time to roll up your sleeves and bake your best goodies! Ask a local business to see if you can hold a bake sale at their store! If you can, some stores may match the amount you fundraise!
